New Look of Metropolitan Museum of Art
The Metropolitan Museum of Art has recently presented it’s newly renovated facade that stretches four blocks along Fifth Avenue, which is so different from what you could see before. The restoration was carried out according to the plan of American architect Richard Morris Hunt and costed $12.2 million,

Museum Director Philippe de Montebello commented that now, "You see the Metropolitan Museum of Art facade as it first looked when it was completed more than a century ago in 1902". Now you can really tell that the fresh facade outside reflects the rich collection of the world's art inside, with four muses of art and culture representing painting, sculpture, music and architecture, eight of the greatest artists in the world represented in medallions, classical sculptures, medusas, gargoyles and many more.
