Commemorating the memory of Pearl Harbor

The 64th anniversary of Pearl Harbor was commemorated in New Your on December 7 with a wreath tossing ceremony and a 21-gun salute. On this day in 1941 Japanese planes launched their surprise attack on the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. More then 2,300 people were killed, and hundreds of aircraft and ships were damaged or destroyed. Then-President Franklin Roosevelt declared war against Japan the next day. World War II Veterans came to remember this day and do their memorial service at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum.
