'Measure for Measure' at St. Ann's Warehouse

On December 20 a play 'Measure for Measure' will be performed at St. Ann's Warehouse featuring Mark Rylance's as the main hero. This will be his final appearance before he steps down as the theatre’s artistic director after 11 years of leading the Globe Theatre of London. The Globe theatre, based in 1997, was mocked as a touristic Disney-on-Avon, but Rylance played an important part in the theatre’s business, as under his watch, the theater has flourished, drawing more than 2million "groundlings." He will be acting as the duke in the Shakespeare's dark comedy, about a man sentenced to death whose sister's efforts to save him.
