Stylish photography show in Stellan Holm Gallery
Jan. 26 to Feb. 28. there runs an exhibition of images by fashion photographer Horst P. Horst's images’. Horst P. Horst, whose career lasted for about 60 years, showed in his work the beauty of classic lines and sensual curves with rapt attention paid to light and shadow. A century after Horst's birth, the Stellan Holm Gallery is celebrating with "Horst: A New Perspective." The exhibition represents 54 pieces, all with excellent use of light, shadow and form. For instance, graceful black-and-white photographs of models and celebrities the late Horst took for Conde Nast and Vogue are emblematic of his collection while images like the Mainbocher corset, shot in 1939 Paris, are often thought to typify the German artist's portfolio.
